Hourly Rates
& Payments

While full projects are estimated at a fixed rate, I offer hourly rates for projects such as quick website updates, one-off development additions and graphic design work for current and past clients. Below, you’ll find my current rates, invoicing process and an FAQ section.

Hourly Rates

Web Design

Non-Care Plan Clients

For clients not on my Care Plans, my current rate is

$93/hr

Web Design

Care Plan Clients

For Care Plan clients, my current rate is

$83/hr

All projects require a 1hr minimum. After the first hour, additional time is billed in the proportional ammount of 15min increments. (e.g. a 2h 15min project for Non-Care Plan Clients would be $146.26 at the final invoice)

Why the different rate? This is because jumping into a site that has not been routinely updated, secured and maintained by my team and I often leads to much more backend work even for fairly simple updates. It’s one of the main reasons I highly recommend joining one of my monthly Care Plans. By trusting us to look after your site and keep it running smoothly month to month, I am happy to offer a discounted rate on updates, revisions and additions.

Invoicing

You will receive an invoice at the end of the month (usually the last Friday) accounting for the hours worked during that month. This is regardless of whether or not the project has been completed or when it was completed.

For example, if a project was completed on the 10th of July, you would still receive the invoice at the end of July. And if a project hasn’t been completed yet, but we’ve worked on it during that month, you would still receive at invoice at the end of July to account for those hours.

If we are working on multiple projects during the same month, I will send one global invoice (unless you have requested separate invoices), but I will include an hourly breakdown in the description so you can know how many hours went into each individual project.

This method of invoicing helps me keep track of every project without going crazy 😉 and it helps you to pay over time, instead of ending with a more substantial bill at the end.

Frequently Asked Questions

How and when will I receive your invoice?

Invoices will be sent directly to your email at the end of the month (usually the last Friday). This email will contain a secure link you can use to make a payment.

With this link, you will also be able to download the invoice prior to your payment and a receipt after your payment has been processed.

What methods of payment do you accept?

I accept almost all major debit and credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard. My hourly rates and your final invoices already include credit card fees, so your invoice total won’t be affected by this.

At the moment, I am unable to take payments with American Express cards. It’s likely you will still see the AMEX logo inside the invoice, but your transaction won’t go through if you use this payment method.

Do you accept Venmo, CashApp or Zelle exchanges?

No, at the moment you can only make payments via my online invoices with either a debit or credit card.

Are these transactions secure?

The invoices I send are powered by Stripe. In fact, you should see a label that states this at the bottom of your online invoice. Stripe is one of the most used and secure payment processors in the industry.

The following excerpt is taken directly from Stripe’s website regarding their security.

“Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, we use the best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe.”

Where can I find my receipt?

One your payment has been completed, you’ll be able to download your receipt directly from the confirmation window. If you closed the payment page, you can retrive it by clicking on the invoice link sent to your email (the one you used to make the payment).

If you still require more assistance, just send me an email to info@jimestudio.com and I’ll be happy to send you a receipt.

What if my transaction didn't go through?

There are two main reasons your transaction may have been blocked:

1. If you tried making a payment with an American Express card. Currently, I am unable to recieve payments with AMEX cards. You can try using a Visa or Mastercard.

2. Your bank needs confirmation. For transactions over certain amounts, your bank may request you to confirm this transaction. They will usually send you a text or email (depending on your settings). Once you have confirmed it is you who’s trying to make this payment, try again. Your payment should go through without any problems. If you use this credit card again in the future for any of my invoices, this shouldn’t be a problem anymore.
